The Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board announced the CBE Group chose to expand its global call center operation in Clarksville and move into the former Convergys building on U.S. 79.

The CBE Group, headquartered in Cedar Falls Iowa, is a global provider of outsourcing call center services, including customer care, debt collection and fraud prevention, higher education, health care, telecommunications, utility and government organizations. The CBE project will bring an investment of $1.2 million and 500 jobs to the community.

The CBE Group currently employs more than 1,300 people in five locations globally, and plans to add 500 employees at its new Clarksville location, with more than half of the added jobs to be created in 2021. Initial positions with CBE will include both full-time and part-time opportunities in customer service, finance and team management. CBE will provide comprehensive classroom and on-the-job training, along with numerous skills-enhancement opportunities for employees.

CBE planned to begin the recruitment process immediately, with employment opportunities available as early as January. Additionally, careers for CBE will be posted at clarksvilleishiring.com, a resource provided to the community employers provided by the Aspire Foundation. Last year, clarksvilleishiring.com posted more than 1,000 jobs available in the region.

“I am excited to welcome another growing business to our community. The CBE Group stood out to me with their drive to set industry standards and passion for employee professional development and growth. The expansion of CBE to Clarksville-Montgomery County brings more opportunities for our citizens to thrive,” said Frank Tate, executive director of the industrial development board.
